To fulfill our mission, QVNA provides a broad range of community services and programs.

New to Queen Village?

Top 5 things to do when you move to the neighborhood.

  1. Join the Queen Village Neighbors Association (QVNA) and Get Involved
Sign up to join QVNA! Queen Village Neighbors Association (QVNA) is a 501c3, non-profit, volunteer-driven organization and is the Registered Community Organization (RCO) that serves the needs of Queen Village (see boundaries here).

Think of QVNA as the neighborhood connector. We host general meetings and socials every month, in addition to topic-specific committee meetings and events. Need help with something that isn’t addressed on our site? Message us at info@qvna.org and we’ll get you in touch with the right person or organization to get the ball rolling.

Check out our upcoming events on our calendar, and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram.

  2. Join One of Our Many Active Committees or Park Friends Groups
Getting involved with one of our hyperlocal Queen Village communities is a great way to meet new people and feel connected as we all work together to make Queen Village a great place to live, work, and play. Check out our committees and Park Friends groups!

  3. Learn About Trash and Recycling In Our Area
Friday is our trash and recycling collection day in Queen Village. Trash bins and recycling bins should be put out the day before at 7pm. If a holiday occurs on a Friday, collection will take place on Saturday. Holidays that occur on the weekend won’t affect collection the following week. You’ll be notified of these changes with our newsletter, so make sure to sign up!

All containers must have a tight-fitting lid or be secured in some way, or be substantial, leak-proof sealed plastic bags. This is to prevent loose trash from blowing around and polluting our streets.

Please help us educate neighbors if you see folks putting out trash inappropriately. Improperly putting out trash contributes to loose trash on our streets and forces others, either volunteers or city employees, to pick up after them. If you see trash improperly disposed of, please contact Philadelphia SWEEPs so they can come out and issue a warning (and citation for repeat offenders).

Need a recycling bin? You can sign up to pick one up at a nearby sanitation center. QVNA periodically hosts recycling bin giveaways.

  4. Register to Vote or Update Your Voting Address
Queen Village and the surrounding neighborhoods are very politically active. Update your voter information here. Want to learn more about Philly politics? Check out resources available on the Committee of Seventy website (a non-partisan organization).

  5. Download the 311 App and Submit Requests for Common Services
311 is Philly’s one-stop customer service center for non-emergency issues. Report things like potholes, abandoned cars, graffiti, illegal trash disposal, and more. Download the app, visit the website or call (311 on a landline, 215-686-8686 on mobile).

Is there a business that isn’t being a good neighbor? You can also use QVNA’s Nuisance Business Reporting Tool to report a variety of issues. QVNA will then follow up with you about appropriate next steps.
