Filament presents “The Muse’s Prism” in concert Sunday, Feb. 25, 3 p.m., at Historic Gloria Dei (Old Swedes’) Church, 916 S. Swanson Street (Columbus Blvd. and Christian St.) in the Queen Village section of Philadelphia.
The program includes Filament’s greatest 17th century hits from its first five years of playing together.
Chamber music at oldest church in Pennsylvania
The trio includes Evan Few on violin, Elena Kauffman on viola da gamba and John Walthausen on harpsichord, playing at the oldest church in Pennsylvania … and one of their favorite venues. The church was designated a National Historic Site in 1942.
The Broad Street Review praised Filament for a “fervor and delight that make early music seem current, and easy, joyful communication.”
Admission is $20 per adult, $15 per student with ID and $5 for children under 12, The price includes a drink ticket for a beverage of your choice (alcoholic - adults only) or non-alcoholic.
