After our initial successful data collection day in January, we are slowly building up our QV Tree Opportunity Map to better shape and inform where new tree plantings can go in Queen Village. For our next data collection day this month, we will be focused on finding empty existing tree pits and finding new potential tree pits in the SW portion of Queen Village (6th to 4th, Washington to Queen). Then in March, we will be coordinating volunteers to connect with homeowners who have potential new tree pit locations in front of their homes and help them sign up for new street trees for the fall.
