Come on out to the 3nd Annual South Street location for National Night Out. We will gather in front of the police mini-station on South Street. Please PM us if you’d like to help distribute personal safety literature and giveaways to those passing through, or if you’d like to table / have a tent.
This will be a great chance to mingle with the officers, neighbors, business owners, elected officials, city programs and non-profit agencies and violence prevention and outreach services. Get to know your neighbors and connect with various services and learn how to reduce the opportunity and reward for crime, and get energized about promoting safety and peace in our neighborhoods!
National Night Out Against Crime is a series of national events taking place in August throughout the United States.
The South Street Police Mini-Station serves the 1st Police Service Area (PSA1) of the 3rd District, which fully includes the neighborhoods of Hawthorne Empowerment Coalition, Queen Village Neighbors Association, Bella Vista Neighbors Association, South Street Headhouse District, and the southernmost portion of Washington Square West Civic Association
Please ask one of the volunteers if you would like to learn more how volunteer effort helps support the operating expenses and needs of the mini station through our fundraising, communications, events, and other committees.
