Applications for grants must focus on how the project or program helps improve the quality of life of Queen Village residents.

Recipients of community grants have access to awarded funds for one year, and must document the impact of their completed project or program. In 2018, QVNA awarded $10,000 in Community Grants.

Grant applications may be submitted for a wide range of projects and programs, including enhancing parks, gardens, playgrounds, and neighborhood safety; educational and after-school programs; clean & green projects; historic preservation; and more.

Congrats Community Grant Winners!

Four 2018 Community Grant Award recipients were announced by QVNA President Eleanor Ingersoll at the December 13th Holiday Party. A total of $10,000 was awarded.

The Geography Lady was awarded $400 for an intergenerational geography program.

Fleisher Art Memorial was awarded $1,000 for a teaching assistant to pick-up students participating in its after-school program at Nebinger for their return to home to Courtyard.

Friends of Nebinger was awarded $2,000 for Chromebooks for use by students.

Beck Park was awarded $6,600 for new sidewalks and masonry repair.

Grant award decisions were based on the degree to which the proposed project meets a community need, the clarity of the project description, budget detail that reflects well-defined needs and reasonable costs, and the capacity of the applicant organization to complete the project within one year.

A sincere thanks to ALL GRANT APPLICANTS! QVNA is proud of good work being done to improve the quality of life here in Queen Village.
