Philly Free Streets

The City of Philadelphia is seeking public input and ideas for planning Philly Free Streets that will take place on Saturday, September 24th from 8 AM to 1 PM.  The event will temporarily close select City streets to vehicles so Philadelphians can socialize, bike, walk, dance, and play in our streets. The route will run from South Street at Front Street, to the beautiful Schuylkill River Trail, along Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, and into Fairmount Park.   This event promotes active, family-friendly, and healthy activities.  If you would, please complete this short survey: Philly Free Streets Survey.

Check out the map for this year’s route, and visit PhillyFreeStreets.com for more information.

City to Residents: We Want To Hear From You

Have you ever wanted to tell the City what you thought of housing and other issues in your neighborhood? Now’s your chance.
The City is starting to update its housing and community development plan. The goal is to identify strategies to create more opportunities for residents. Those strategies will then guide the City’s investments in housing and other neighborhood needs.
To start the process, the City wants to hear from residents on housing and other neighborhood issues – schools, jobs, transportation, services and more. It also wants to know about residents’ experience looking for housing.
To get that input, the City has posted a survey on the website of the Division of Housing and Community Development.
So tell the City what you think, Take our Survey!
It will be available August 10 through August 31.
