Queen Village K9 (“QVK9”) is a volunteer, social group of pet owners promoting responsible pet ownership, outreach, and dog run maintenance in the Queen Village neighborhood of Philadelphia. QVK9 is not just for dog owners… anyone with a passion for animals is welcome!

QVK9 sponsors regular clean-ups of the Mario Lanza Dog Run which generally fall on the third Sunday of each month at 10:30am. Consider joining us, to help us keep our dog park beautiful and safe! We’ll bring the tools and some treats, just bring yourself. We also offer monthly “Yappy Hours”, volunteer opportunities with local animal charities, and pet education. We are always looking for volunteers to help with fundraising events, park clean-ups, and other dog-related events throughout the year! If you are interested volunteering, please contact us at bark@qvk9.org.

Support us:

Your donation to QVK9 allows us to maintain and improve the dog run at Mario Lanza Park. While the park falls under the auspices of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the dog run is funded entirely by private donations. We rely on our members, donations and our generous sponsors to support this wonderful community initiative. If you enjoy bringing your dog to the dog run at Mario Lanza, please take a moment to send in a donation to keep the dog run looking its best.
