For the sixth year, QVNA is partnering with greenlimbs to serve the city and residents by offering an alternative means of sustainable tree disposal at Treecycling on Saturday, January 7 from 9am-2pm.
Since 2011, greenlimbs and community partners have diverted more than 1,500 trees from landfill turning them instead into mulch for use at schoolyards, senior centers and city parks.
This year our chipping hub will be located at Jefferson Square Park. We’ll host drop-off sites in Bella Vista, Queen Village, and Washington Square West. Mulch generated from trees and holiday greens will be donated this year to Bennett Compost for use in the winter/spring operations.
*Trees and greens should be bare and free of ornaments, lights, and stand
