Thank You for Successful Toy Collection

Hello and Happy New Year 2016,

I pray this brief note reaches all of you and your families in nothing short of great health in the mind, body, and spirit. I would like to take the opportunity to extend my deepest thanks to all who helped make the 2015 “Women Against Abuse” toy and gift collection a great success. As a direct result of your kindness our officers and volunteers were able to collect, wrap, and distribute over 1000 toys and gifts to over 125 families currently receiving services from Women Against Abuse. In fact, the support this endeavor received was such a resounding success that our officers with the help of Santa and his elves, were also able assist several needy families in the South Philadelphia area as well as a children’s Sunday school program at a local church.

On several occasions I have been outspoken about the power that exist in the building of strong communities. Our success in building up organizations such as Women Against Abuse and their clients is surely a byproduct of that power! On a greater note, community collaborations such as these demonstrate the importance of community policing and is yet another shining example of why the police and the community are ONE great team!

Once again, thank you so very much for yet another wonderful holiday event and I look forward to our continued success in 2016. God Bless!

Lt. Michael J. Goodson #314
